I have always lived in Leusden, although I was born in Amersfoort.
Together with my partner Frans, with whom I have been very happy for eight years, I enjoy our lovely home. I have two daughters and a son. Romee, the eldest, now lives in The Hague; Puck, my son, is studying in Breda; and Linn, the youngest, is preparing to start her studies in Breda soon as well. The house we live in is something Frans and I have built up together over the years into a place we are truly proud of.
The seed for my current work was planted early on. As a teenager, I used to help my father in his home office. After completing the MEAO Secretarial course, I started working at an accountancy firm and since then I have worked for various wonderful companies, gaining a great deal of experience.
Since August 2025, I have been happily working at Van de Groep & Olsthoorn, a warm and welcoming family business in Soesterberg. As a management assistant, also responsible for the entire administration, I am able to put my knowledge and organisational skills to good use.
What makes my work so enjoyable and meaningful to me is the contact with people. I love helping colleagues and being part of the whole process: from the moment a CV comes in, to liaising with candidates and clients, and finally seeing a successful placement. It is very rewarding when everything comes together and I can truly take work off my colleagues’ and clients’ hands.
In my free time, I love being outdoors: gardening, walking, swimming in the pool in our wonderfully beautiful neighbourhood, and enjoying my daily cycle ride to the office. At home I am often busy with creative projects — I have made large seagrass hangers, chunky knitted throws, and I am currently working on decorative wooden letters with artificial flowers. I also enjoy socialising: having good meals and drinks with Frans and friends, and making the most of holidays and weekend trips away.
