GERTJAN VAN DE GROEP
Managing Director
Gertjan van de Groep (1970) studied Mechanical Engineering at the Technical College in Utrecht. He worked as a manufacturing/lean engineer at two mechanical production organizations. After that, he became a Management Trainee in Logistics and a Process Optimization Project Manager at TNT. At the end of 1997, he started as a consultant at Van de Groep & Olsthoorn, the company that was founded by his father, Wim, in 1979. Gertjan: ‘As a consultant, I mainly focus on finding the right candidates for vacancies and interim projects at managerial and executive level in the Technical, Industrial and Logistic sectors.’
In 2007, Gertjan took over the lead of the company from his father and became Managing Director. ‘The combination of consultancy, entrepreneurship and management is just right for me. My aim is to make Van de Groep & Olsthoorn grow even further, while retaining the personal and direct character that is typical of our services. The spearheads of this growth are interim management and the international market,’ according to Gertjan. |
