In order to support this mission, the EMEA team will be strengthened by introducing a Supply Chain Director.
The supply chain team is the cornerstone of Wego’s fulfillment process and responsible for delivering the quality of service that is vital to our value proposition. The Supply Chain Director is responsible for growing, leading, optimizing, and integrating the company’s entire supply chain organization (Customer Service, Logistics, and Quality & Regulatory). He or she ensures that customers across Europe receive their products on time, in full, and in compliance with all relevant regulations. The Supply Chain Director is a strategic partner to the VP & General Manager EMEA and Sales Directors, balancing commercial promises with operational capabilities.
He or she reports directly to the VP & General Manager EMEA with a dotted line to the global supply chain VP. Direct reports are the Customer Service Supervisor, the Logistics Supervisor, and the Quality & Regulatory Officer. The Supply Chain Director works closely with the Sales Directors and their European sales teams, EMEA finance, and US supply chain counterparts.
Key responsibilities are leading, coaching, and developing the supervisors and Q&R officer, fostering collaboration, efficiency, and customer focus. Ensuring professional, automated and AI driven order receipt, entry, and confirmation. Ensuring timely, safe, and compliant deliveries throughout Europe. Overseeing compliance with European and national legislation (REACH, CLP, Seveso, etc.). Continuously review efficiency and effectiveness of existing processes, Oracle system usage and people, and initiate and lead improvement projects where needed (digitalization, order-to-cash optimization, cost efficiency).
The Supply Chain Director is accountable for the operational performance of the supply chain organization. He or she is accountable to develop and manage SC budget and proactively develop cost efficiency initiatives. Manages and optimizes the 3PL network in consultation with the VP and Sales directors. Escalates structural issues directly to the VP.
You have a completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, and/or Business Administration. You have 8–10 years of relevant experience in supply chain/logistics in a similar international, highly regulated, product trading environment. Previous experience with in chemical distribution is a big plus. You know what it takes to build excellence and have a strong knowledge of European supply chain processes, ADR/REACH/CLP, and international logistics.

We are searching for an energetic, hands-on, resilient, and self-starting leader with excellent people management skills. You have commercial awareness and experience collaborating with sales-driven organizations. You are analytical, results-oriented, decisive, and strong in stakeholder communication. The Supply Chain Director should be a team player, who inspires, motivates, and successfully develops multi-disciplinary teams. Next to customer focus, continuous improvement is your second nature. You must live in the Netherlands or be willing to relocate and must be fluent in English. A good command of Dutch, German, and French is beneficial.
