Currently, CentroMotion is in a transition process that requires major steps to realize an organization in which an even more optimized supply chain will play a very important role in terms of creating next level efficiency. A major part of this transition process implies optimizing, managing and controlling all global supply chain activities.
The organizational structure regarding product sourcing has been changed into three specific segments (Industrial, Transportation and Brake and Friction). Power Packer and Gits are part of the business segment Transportation. Power Packer is a leading provider of hydraulic position and motion control solutions for tilting, latching, stabilizing and leveling whereas Gits provides highly engineered engine efficiency and emission control products to diesel engine manufacturers.
In order to develop, align and execute global supply base strategies to reduce risks while improving commercial and operational performance for CentroMotion’s Transportation Segment we are currently looking for a candidate for the position of Global Sourcing Director.
The Global Sourcing Director will be responsible for maximizing supply chain efficiency and effectiveness in meeting the demands of sales and manufacturing internationally.
You will develop supply bases for New Products while supporting existing direct material spend to improve Total Cost of Ownership. In order to optimize the Transportation supply chain it will be important to establish and implement systems and tools that will reduce lead-times, improve inventory management and on-time delivery to customers.
Next to this you will developing, coaching, and mentoring your sourcing team of approximately 15 employees. You will act as part of the CentroMotion Sourcing leadership to establish best in class processes and systems to drive supply chain performance at a world class level and closely collaborate with the Transportation leadership team. You are part of a global matrix structure in which you will collaborate with colleagues responsible for category sourcing. The Global Sourcing Director for the Transportation Segment will also be part of the Segment Leadership team.
The Global Sourcing Director will have a functional reporting line to the Senior Vice President Transportation and will directly report to the Senior Director of Global Supply Chain. You will be based at the Center of Excellence of CentroMotion Europe (Oldenzaal, the Netherlands.

For this position we prefer candidates with a MSc or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or supply chain. You have at least 10 years’ experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Management up to a director level. You have strong experience with, and advanced knowledge of, ERP/ MRP systems.
Moreover you are familiar with manufacturing processes, machining, metal cutting, plastic injection molding, metal fabrication, electronics and assembly as part of an international manufacturing environment. Previously gained experience in international product sourcing, inventory management combined with demonstrated experience in global and comprehensive supplier relationships and advanced negotiation techniques is recommended.
You have a strategic mind, able to manage multiple, complex projects and changing priorities. A people manager with the credibility to set and lead strategy being an overall “business partner” to the organization. You have excellent communicative and problem solving skills, at all levels (multilevel stakeholder management). Experience working in a global matrix environment and with international suppliers or colleagues is strongly preferred. Other characteristics are being: creative, hands-on, open minded, convincing, sensitive, good listener, empathic, clear and straight.
The person involved is willing to travel internationally on frequent basis, mainly in Europe. You are fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written).
